Welcome to Internet 6 |
Your web site is a lot more than just words and pictures on a computer screen somewhere -- it is an introduction to your company and an invitation to do business with you. As such, your web site should reflect your passions, your vision and your values, not the artistic integrity of a web page template.
At Internet 6, we don't simply build web sites; we focus our efforts on helping you build your business. We begin by providing professional web site services at very reasonable prices. Once your web site is built, we host your site and submit it to search engines. Then we maintain it for you, updating your information when you tell us it needs to be changed, and resubmitting it to search engines when appropriate.
Since 1997, Internet 6 has helped over 100 companies and independent professionals establish their web site and web presence. Our structured approach to site building starts with a strong foundation, then adds features and depth as your needs increase.
We don't just get you on the web -- we get you found! A great web site is important, but so are visitors. We submit your site to the top search engines and periodically resubmit it so that your search engine information stays current and your web site gets visitors.
All of this is less expensive than it sounds. We have reasonable pricing plans that get your web site built, hosted, optimized for search engines, submitted to search engines, and maintained for just a few dollars a day over the course of a year.
Still not sure if you should have a web site? Take a look at our top ten reasons to be on the web and see if makes sense for you.

Your web site may be the first view of your company that a potential customer has, so it ought to reflect your passions, vision and values, not those of the web site design company. That's why we tailor every web site we build to your needs, not ours. We work with you to design the site -- and you know what's happening every step of the way. There are no surprises.
Here are the steps we take when we build your web site:

Before you hire anyone to build a web site, you really need to decide what you want your web site to do. Answering these four questions will help you make that determination.
1. Who do you want to visit your web site?
2. What do you want them to find out about you, once they are there?
By the way, I'd like you to know that Internet 6 is the best value on the web for web site design, hosting, and maintenance. (We follow our own advice.)
3. Now that you have them, what do you want them to do?
4. Do you want them to come back? Why should they?
If you've answered these questions and are ready to move ahead with web site design and construction, feel free to call or email us and see how we can help you.

10. To make basic information about your company available. Think of the best yellow pages ad you ever saw, then ask yourself, "what else did I want to know?" That's what a good web site will do for you. It will tell your customers and potential customers who you are and what you do, and it can show and tell them why they should do business with you. And it tells them all over the world.
9. To reach viewers looking for a specific good or service. That's why you're in the yellow pages, right? But print limits you by geography and time. The web is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Potential customers can always find you and determine if you have the products or services that meet their needs. And you can tell them what's on special today, tomorrow, and even next week. Better yet, you can show them!
8. To catch casual browsers who might not otherwise know you exist. If you want to serve more than your local market, you need a presence in every city and town where your customers might be. The world wide web does that for you.
7. To answer frequently asked questions. Got a question for one of your suppliers at 8:30pm on a Thursday night? The web is a quick way to find an answer. Your customers can find answers, too, if you have a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page on your web site. This will also cut down the time you and your employees spend on the phone answering the same questions, over and over and over and over......
6. To make changing information available as soon as it changes. New products, new uses for existing products, changing specifications or special deals can all be handled by your web site. What better way to get vital information to all your customers at once? This information will draw your customers back to your web site and help cement your relationship with them.
5. To create 24 hour a day, 7 day a week service. You aren't always in the office. But your office can be open every hour of every day if you allow your customers to place orders, ask questions, or browse your catalog on-line. The web doesn't need to be tied in to your systems for these things to happen - you just need a well-designed web site.
4. To get feedback from customers. You need to know what your customers are thinking. Adding a feedback page to your site allows your customers the chance to say what they think. Amazon.com lets readers rate the books and offer advice to potential buyers. You can see if a book is likely to meet your needs by reading what other buyers had to say.
3. Your customers are already on the web. They're out there looking for deals and checking out your competitors. If they can't compare your current prices with the competitions', you lost.
2 Your competitors are already on the web. Maybe not the folks down the street, but the ones who think the whole world is their market and can ship products just as easily as you can. They're there, and your customers are looking at their products and prices, and they might just be ordering on-line.
To sell more stuff. That's the reason you're in business to begin with, right? You want to sell goods and services to people who have a use for them. The web won't replace your current way of doing business, but it will offer you the opportunity to expand your market and get your business known outside your current geography. Call or e-mail us and we'll help get you started.
